Nellie was the second daughter of Solomon and Fredrika Stoneberg, born in Warren, Pennsylvania in 1879. We don't have much information about Nellie. We do know she married Charles William (Will) Keirnan about 1898. There are a few mentions in the Warren newspaper archives, including the birth of her two oldest children on 21 Feb 1899, Mildred and Melvin, who were twins. Another article indicated that Mildred may have died at the age of 3 months on 18 May 1899.

C. W. Keirnan was reported in the 10 Nov 1909 Warren Evening Mirror as being the Deputy Grand Chancellor of the Knights of Pythias for Warren County. He was visiting Jamestown NY to confer the rank of Knight to several new candidates. C. W. Keirnan was also in the 10 Feb 1917 Warren Evening Mirror as a Conewango Township delegate to the State Convention of School Directors. His son Virgil accompanied him on the trip. The 1930 Census listed Charles as tax collector. The 20 Jun 1950 Warren Times Mirror reported that Nellie was struck by a car while crossing Third Avenue and Liberty Street, sustaining minor injuries.

Nellie appears to have lived her whole life in Warren, PA. C. W. Keirnan was listed as being born in Wisconsin. They are both buried in Oakland Cemetery in Warren, PA, next to Fredrika Stoneberg. We are in the process of contacting the Keirnan descendents for more information.
