This Web site section contains information about the lives and adventures of Nels Henrik & Selma Charlotta Oberg, their 12 children, 31 grand children, and other descendants. Nels and Selma were the first Obergs from our family to set foot on American soil in 1872. Selma's father Peter Magnus Månsson Rubin had blazed the trail to Jamestown NY four years earlier, and helped the Oberg's finance their passage to the US.
