Getgölen House
Getgölen is where Sven Henric and Lovisa Nilsdotter raised their family and is most likely the birthplace of Nils Henrik, Johan Petter, Maria Lovisa, Sven Erik, Karl Oskar Åberg. The house is situated between 'Big Goat Lake' (N-NW) and 'Little Goat Lake' (S-SE). It is a typical little croft, now uninhabited but obviously used as a summer house. The barn was demolished, just some foundation stones were left. The small fields are not cultivated anymore and are slowly becoming overgrown. But it's a nice and idyllic spot. The pictures below show the house, the surroundings, some mounds of stone people have gathered long ago when they broke new soil, and an old plow that is left as a memory of old days. Some flowers still live there with no attendance.
The lake north of Getgölen isn't visible from the house because of the vegetation. The lake south of the the house is barely visible from the house. But here the shoreline is quite nice and there is a timbered shelter for walkers along the foot path that streches through the province.
