Dinner Time!
The dinner offered a delicious choice of steak, chicken or fish fillets. This was the main event and was well attended. We all enjoyed trading stories about our family groups and the ancestors. Jena Oberg led us in a rousing rendition of the Lutefisk Song. :-)
The Basket Auction was great fun with many beautiful regional themed baskets. This auction was to raise funds for the family treasury. The family treasury has again been well maintained and guarded by our treasurer, Kathy Figini.
People stayed until 10:30pm browsing the genealogical notebooks and charts, showing pictures and sharing stories. Brad Oberg gave a great Power Point slide presentation on his father and family. Other family members (Joanne Smith, Dean Oberg) had prepared ancestral summaries which were available for reading at the genealogy table.
